Annie Bingham Foreman was born November 23, 1935 to the late Johnnie and Thomasine Bingham in Washington, DC. She was the second of five children born to that union. She attended DC public schools and faithfully attended Sunday school throughout her youth. She met and married Robert Foreman and had four children from their union. On April 6, 2022 after a lengthy illness, she went home to be with the Lord.
Annie was an avid lover of music. Her favorite genres of music were gospel hymns, jazz and doo-wop. Annie had excellent cooking skills as attested to by her family and friends. She enjoyed reading newspapers and keeping abreast of current events.
Annie was a member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church in Washington, DC.
Annie was employed in retail for many years. In 1974 Annie began her Federal Government career with the National Credit Union Administration which was the proudest accomplishment of her life.
After twenty years of Federal Government service with NCUA and many performance awards, accomplishments and achievements Annie retired in 1994. During retirement Annie traveled extensively, enjoyed time with her children, grandchildren and close friend. Throughout her life Annie was a strong woman of faith, she truly loved God and her family.
Annie is now in God’s loving care. She is survived by her sister Marlena Ellis, her children Donna Blake, Robert Foreman, Jr., Karen Foreman, Marlena Foreman, grandsons Elon Blake, Keenan Blake, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Obituary: Annie J. Foreman, 86 retired Federal Employee died on April 6, 2022 after a lengthy illness. She was born in Washington, DC and later resided in Prince Georges County, MD. She is survived by one sister, four children, two grandsons, multiple nieces and nephews.
