Armstrong Mbah was born on September 10th, 1988, in Cental Hospital Yaoundé to Late Papa Evaristus Ndangoh Mbah and Eveline Mbah. Armstrong was the first of 5 children. At 2 years 4 months of age, he moved to live with his Uncle, Mr Teke George, where he attended Presbyterian Primary School in Ngee and Nkambe. He then attended secondary school in Yaoundé and moved to Bamenda to attend Longle Comprehensive College. He later moved back in with his parents prior to migrating to the United States at 18 years of age.
Armstrong began his education in the United States at Northwestern High School in Princes Georges County. In 2015, Armstrong completed his Bachelor's in nursing from Bowie State University. He later obtained his Master's in Nurse Informatics at Widener University and continued to receive a Post Bachelors/Premedical studies from the University of Maryland. Although nursing was Armstrong's starting point, it was not his end goal.

Armstrong's goal was to become an Orthopedic surgeon, and he never deterred from that goal. Before his death, Armstrong took the Medical College Admission Exam (MCAT) and began submitting applications to various medical schools; with Georgetown University as his top choice. Armstrong had a relentless pursuit for greatness both in his academics and in his work life.

Armstrong began his work career as a patient care technician and transporter for Holy Cross Hospital. After obtaining his BSN, he worked as a registered nurse in the emergency room. Amidst the global pandemic, He worked as a traveling nurse for AMN travel company, completing assignments at Kaiser, Sinai Hospital, and primarily Medstar Southern Maryland.

His co-workers describe him as a strong patient advocate, a team player, and a born leader. He undeniably cared for his patients with dignity, respect, and genuine compassion. He believed in the power of empathy. He reassured his patients that they were not alone. He was a natural leader who vowed to see others succeed by pushing and encouraging them to chase their dreams. He was kind and soft-spoken and always had time to answer a question or solve a problem.

In his spare time, he loved tuning into Marvel productions, watching football, especially the Denver Broncos, listening to AfroBeats, and catching up on his favorite shows. He also enjoyed purchasing the latest gadget, getting facials, and looking up car specs. Armstrong was a stylish man with quality taste. You could smell Armstrong from a mile away with his distinctive cologne collection. Ultimately, becoming a father was his badge of honor. Armstrong lived for his children, and spending time with them was of utmost importance.

Unfortunately, Armstrong suddenly passed away on October 7th, 2022, at 34 years of age. He is survived by his two children, Clayton (13) and Brielle (3); his mother, Eveline Mbah; his four siblings (Vania, Emmanuel, Clinton, and Christabel Mbah); and a host of nieces, nephews, family members, and special friends to mourn him. He will be missed dearly, but his spirit, legacy, and impact will forever remain with us.
