Beverly Livingston Rivers departed her life on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Forestville Healthcare and Rehab Center in Forestville, MD
Beverly was born April 4, 1952 in Bronx, NY to Bernice Revell, but she was raised by her grandparents Lucious (Luke) and Catherine “Cassie” Livingston. She grew up in Dillon, SC where she attended Gordon Elementary/High School until she graduated in 1970. After graduating Beverly moved to Washington, DC and attended Cortez Peterson Business School in 1971 and from there she went to work for the FBI as a proofreader and fingerprint specialist.
On December 6, 1974 Beverly married Michael Rivers and out of that union they were blessed 3 children. Beverly decided to become a stay home mom until the 1990s and began working as a security guard at the Department of State and then in the late 1990s she worked as a Custodial Engineer at C. Elizabeth Reig School in Bowie, MD for 10yrs until she became ill in 2013.
Beverly was an active church member at Maple Springs Baptist Church in District Heights, MD where she served as security detail. Beverly was also a hardcore Cowboys fan and she enjoyed watching them every Sunday; she loved being surrounded by her grandchildren and loved to bake and cook.
Beverly was predeceased by her mother Bernice Revell and son Michael Justin Rivers. Beverly leaves behind her husband of 48yrs Michael Joseph Rivers; 2 daughters Michelle Chanteuse King (Jeremy) and Karen Rivers; 4 grandchildren Brandon D’vonne Rivers, Devin Khalani Rivers, Brittney Denee’ Brown and Keona Shanteuse Rivers.
