Obituary for Delois Whitehead (Moxley)
Delois Whitehead – May 10, 2022
Delois Whitehead quietly passed away on May 10, 2022 after a long battle with various health issues. She was born at Paducah Kentucky and lived a very full life until her peaceful transition at the blessed age of 87. Delois was preceded in death by her parents Alonzo and Magnolia Moxley, her six siblings and her eldest son Derrick Whitehead. She leaves behind her loving husband of 67 years, Sammie, sons Stanley and Steven, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many extended family. Delois lived as a woman of Christ, a military wife, a volunteer, a mother to many and a friend to the countless. She dedicated her life as a retired healthcare professional, a Life Member of the VFW Auxiliary and Red Cross volunteer. Delois loved gardening, ceramics, volunteering, feeding whomever entered her home and hugging her grand and great grandchildren. As Delois is now in the presence of our Lord, her loving sprit will forever be missed by all.
