Joseph Allen Thompson was born December 20,1962. On Thursday February 23, 2023, in the care of University MD
Capital Region Medical Center, Joseph was called to be with the Lord. Joseph was the youngest child of the late Leroy and Sylvia Thompson and Ernest S. Palmer, his bonus dad.
Joseph was educated in the DC Public School System until the second grade, when he moved to Maryland. Joseph attended Staunton Military Academy. Later he entered Kingsley Woodleness in Montgomery County, MD. While there he befriended two teachers who also proved to be mentors to him.
They were Patrick Bryant and Milt Thomas. From there he graduated from Seneca Valley Highschool. The last school was Maryland University which he attended for a year and a half until his mother found out what he was planning to major in
tennis. Sylvia Thompson was not thrilled with that idea.
Joseph is survived by his sister, Amanda Thompson, and two bonus siblings: Evett Hunt and Steven Palmer. His nephews: Jarrett and Jason Thompson, Tre, Arden, Zion, Sunni. His nieces, Tynesha, Whitney, Lola, and Elicia Thompson, and one uncle, Leroy Jolly. In addition, Cousin Quinton “Chuckie” Jolly, Terry & Jerry McFarland. He is preceded in death by his three brothers: Leroy Thompson Jr., George and Michael Studevant.
