On October 21, 2022, Karen Gaskins Jones, Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother, passed away after a valiant battle with Parkinson's Disease, at the age of 72 years old.
Karen was born on July 9, 1950, in Dayton, Ohio to loving parents Arthur D. Gaskins, and Georgia M. January Gaskins. Karen is known for her passion for life which showed through her love of learning, teaching, traveling, and sharing experiences with close friends and family. It was during one of her excursions when Karen met the love of her life, Charles Jones. Karen and Charles married in October 1984 in Washington, D.C.
Karen will be forever remembered by her loving family, sister Vonda Gaskins Stone (Greg), bonus children (Allison, Charles, Basiyr), 13 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and Karen's sisterhood of dear friends.
