Kendra Shante’ Ellis was born on April 5, 1982. She was raised by her loving parents,
Freddie and Sharon Ellis, Jr. Kendra grew up in the Hyattsville, MD area with her
devoted brother, Freddie Ellis, III.

Kendra received her education in the Prince George’s County School System where
she attended Fairmont Heights High School before graduating from Crossland High
School.

She also graduated from the Hair Academy in New Carrollton, Md.
Kendra was a dedicated 15 years employee of Carefirst Blue Cross Blue Shield where
she served as an Operations Supervisor. She was a dedicated employee and took
pride in her performance and received numerous awards for her achievements,
Kendra had a passion for nurturing young children into adulthood providing them with
guidance, counsel and lots of love. Her greatest joy and love were the children that she
adopted as her own. She accumulated an extensive collection of colorful and stylish
sunglasses and athletic footwear. She loved reading and created pictures by diamond
painting and inspired many others to start. Kendra was a diehard Greenbay Packers fan
and supported them through wins and loses.

Kendra had an infectious personality. She was loving, kind and compassionate. Her
beautiful smile would light up a room like a ray of sunshine. She was known for her
signature red hair which was always styled to perfection.She was also a real daddy’s girl.
Left to cherish her memories are her loving parents, Freddie and Sharon Ellis, Jr., her
brother, Freddie Ellis, III; her daughter, Asia Jones; her son, Da’Quaye; honorary and
cherished sons, Daniel, Da’Mazio and Da’Quise Wells; Nephew, Justice Muhammad;
Nieces, Jelani Muhammad, Mianna and Shyanne Brown; Great cousin, Anita Tyler; Aunt
and Godmother, Linda Knight; Loving friend, Jenelle James; LaKeisha Jones, who was
like a sister to her; Aunts, Wanda Gorham, Jo Ann Gantt, Ivy (Tyrone) Ellis, Angela
(Tyrone) Ford; Sharon Ellis-Herndon, Miriam (William) Ross, LaNika (Douglas) Anthony;
Uncles, William (Renee) Ellis, Benjamin Ellis, Roger (Linda) White, Warren Ellis, Kevin
Ellis, Terrance (Pamela) Ellis. Plus many cousins and close friends who were dear to
her heart and will truly miss her.
