Obituary for Morris Frank Wallace III

Our beloved Morris Frank Wallace III, affectionately known as “Moe”, 71 of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, peacefully transitioned into eternal rest on Friday, April 15, 2022, surrounded by loved ones at Doctors Community Hospital. He was born on July 9,1950 to the late Violet Reid and late Morris Frank Wallace, Jr. in Washington, District of Columbia.

Morris accepted Jesus Christ as his savior at an early age and was baptized at St. Paul Baptist Church, Bladensburg, Maryland.

Morris was a lifelong resident of North Brentwood, Maryland, was educated in the Prince George's County Public School system and graduated from Northwestern High School in 1968. After graduation, he began his career at Smithfield Corporation, where he was a loyal and dedicated employee. He later worked at Safeway Corporation for several years, and then for RPS as a Delivery driver. In 1988, Morris landed the perfect job working for Van Ness Feldman Law Firm in Washington, D.C. There, he formed and maintained many friendships within the firm. Morris retired from Van Ness Feldman Law Firm after 25 years of service to care for his wife.

During his years at Northwestern High School, Morris met and began courting the love of his life Betty Jean Smith. The two were seldom seen without the other, and they married in 1971. From this union, they were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Vivian Marcille and Timeeka Shea. Morris and Betty exemplified the true meaning of love and resilience.

Morris loved the outside and his favorite hobbies were building high-performance engines for his race car’s. He was an avid connoisseur of classic cars and would always have one sparkling in the garage. He also enjoyed fishing, boating, jazz music and spending time with family and friends. Morris loved to go boating at Solomon’s Island, Annapolis and Eastern Shore, Maryland to fish and enjoy the calmness of the water. He enjoyed binge watching the “Sanford and Son” episodes and the National Geographic television series.

Morris was a wonderful father, grandfather, father in-law, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend who will truly be missed. He wanted you to think he was a strong disciplinarian and at times he was, but the truth was he loved his family and would do anything for them. Outside of racing, collecting classic cars, fishing, and boating, he will be remembered most by his deep love for his daughters Vivian and Timeeka (Shea), and his unconditional love for his grandchildren who affectionately called him “PaPa”.

Morris leaves to cherish his memories’; his daughters Vivian M. Henderson and Timeeka Shea Wallace (David), Son In-law Damon J. Henderson Sr.; grandchildren; Davon, Ashley, Da’ja, Damari, Breanna, D’Andre and Damon Jr.; great-grandchildren; Chelsea, Major and Izeah; Nephew Bernard “Squeaky” Tolliver; step-father, Thomas Reid; uncle Frank Daley (Edith).

Preceded in death, wife Betty Jean Wallace, mother Violet Reid, sister Eustacia Tolliver, father Morris Frank Wallace Jr., Morris will be sorely missed by Best friends Chuck Weaver, Larry Shuler and Herb Thompson…many family members, a host of cousins, other friends and his fishing and boating family.
