We are sad to announce the passing of Olive Rose Silvera of Riverdale, MD. She passed
away at age 81 on August 31, 2022. Olive transitioned surrounded by her loved ones after a battle with Alzheimers and Dementia.
Olive was born on August 4, 1941 in Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica. She moved to Washington, DC in 1969. She retired and worked in the fields of Culinary, Hospitality and Childcare. She worked at various hotels, restaurants, community and companies.
She is survived by her twin sister Cherry (Udel) 2 sisters Dorothy and Pearl (deceased), 3 brothers Thomas, Jimmy, Hugh, 1 son Kingsley, 4 daughters Sharon, Janett, Christine, Lisa, 1 son-in-law Edward, 10 grandchildren Melisa, Iyeisha, Warren, Melia, Kayla, Ashley, Sierra, Jermain, Jadan, Jada and 9 great grandchildren Alyse, Jenesis, Vontrell along with 6 others (Not all named).
She always looked out for people in her community. She was compassionate, out going and determined to care for her loved ones. She prayed for everyone and a true nuturer even others she didn't know. She was a excellent Mother, Daughter, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend.
A burial site service will be at Harmony Cemetery, 7101 Sheriff Rd, Hyattsville, MD 20785 at 11:00 am sharp. The service will be only 30 minutes long.
