Celebrating the Life of Onomaube Daniel Uzuzanor

Celebrating the Life of Onomaube Daniel Uzuzanor, affectionately called "Mauve," a beloved husband, father, son, brother, cousin, grandson, nephew, uncle, and fearless friend. Mauve was born on October 15, 1982, in Washington, D.C., to the late Mr. David Onomauve Uzuzanor and Ms. Felicia Okoto. On November 18, 2022, he departed this world and made a heavenly grand entrance. From an early age, Mauve was intellectually advanced and always sized people up to win any battle that he faced. He grew up in Prince George’s County and spent the majority of his weekends and holidays with his godparents in Alexandria, VA.

He attended Oxon Hill High School before transferring to Northwestern High School. In his junior year, Mauve interned at the Federal Government Scholars Program for Information Systems with the U.S. Customs of Border Protection (CBP). This internship led to full-time employment as a Management Program Analyst upon his graduation from high school in June of 2000 and a lifelong relationship as a Federal Government employee.

Mauve went on to obtain his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Information Systems in May of 2006 and his Master’s in Management Information Systems in December of 2009, both from Bowie State University. Mauve was extremely competitive, strong minded, strong willed, and took advantage of opportunities that would push him to his maximum potential. He worked at CBP for 23 years holding several positions from Management Program Analyst to Information Systems Analyst, developing integrated management systems, improving efficiency of the processes, case reporting, just to name a few. He then went to work at the Department of Agriculture as a Senior Program Analyst through August of 2022. He finished his career as a Senior Program Analyst with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.

Mauve was a Man's Man and his fellas referred to him as "Sauvé" for his charming and smooth demeanor. Mauve was a hard worker and did not tolerate any excuses or foolishness. He was taught from a very early age to have a strong work ethic and achieve excellence even if it was a challenge. There was nothing he believed he couldn't do. He loved sports and enjoyed talking trash about sports, including soccer, football, basketball, hockey, or tennis. You name a sport, he could tell you about it and how to win the game. He also loved going to the movies and hanging out with the fellas.

In 2009 Mauve met the love of his life and future wife, Gianni, whom he cherished and adored. They married in a traditional Nigerian wedding on December 13, 2014 and began their life together. They had three amazing boys, Langston, Luke, and Gavin, which were the light of his life. He loved all things family from chilling at home with the family to taking drives to nowhere in particular just to explore. He was so proud of his sons and was always a fixture at their games, practices and other activities. Mauve also was like a father to his younger brother Ese and took great pride and joy in the bond that Ese developed with his sons.

Mauve leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife, Gianni N. Uzuzanor; sons Langston O. Uzuzanor, Luke D. Uzuzanor, and Gavin O. Uzuzanor; mother Felicia Okoto; grandmother Rachael Okoto; step-mother Christiana Apene Uzuzanor; brothers Ayodele Ogunsede, Ese Uzuzanor; dearest godbrothers Ousman 'OJ" Jallow, Tony Kusi, Jr.; dearest god sisters Martha B. Easterling, Abbyshan Danso, & Veronica Kusi; special godparents David and Tina Butler; his in-laws the Adams and Pope family, and a host of special aunts, cousins, uncles, nephews, nieces, and friends in United States, Nigeria, Ghana, and the United Kingdom.
