Patricia L. Morton

MAY 26, 1947 – OCTOBER 25, 2022

Patricia Lillian Morton (Pat/Patsy), daughter of the late Mr. James Morton and the late Mrs. Eddie Mae Shannon was born on May 26, 1947, in Washington, D.C. She was raised in the admiration and fear of Almighty God by the late Mr. William and the late Mrs. Lillian Adams (momma and daddy). At an early age, Pat gave her life to the Lord Jesus Christ and was a member of the Gospel Spreading Church located at 2030 Georgia Avenue, Washington, D.C.

Pat completed her high school education at Eastern High School and attended the University of Maryland where she received her Property Casualty certification. She began her career working as a government contractor (medical claims examiner and flood insurance claims) for Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), Electronic Data Systems (EDS), and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Pat last worked for MBI Health Services, LLC as a Community Support Worker (CSW) where she assisted her clients up until she became ill and could no longer work.

Pat loved the beach and looked forward to spending time with her family in Ocean City, Maryland every summer. She woke up early in the morning, sat on the beach, and read her bible while watching the sunrise and the dolphins. She loved shopping for clothes and shoes, knick-knacks and antiques, and toys for her great-grandchildren. Pat loved to cook candied yams, turkey tails, great northern beans, macaroni and cheese, potato salad, and lasagna. Lastly, she loved talking on the phone and helping people, home decor, and the color green.

Pat leaves to cherish her loving memory: one daughter, Kimberly Allen Trezvánt (Charles, son-in-law); her sons: LoMel (Mel), LaMar (Ant), Neal III (Moochie), Jermoil (Fats), LoVel (Dep – preceded her death); her grandchildren: Brandon (Crystal, granddaughter-in-law), Tye (Betta, granddaughter-in-law), Bradrick (Brad), Samaria (Moo Moo), Chanel, Ashley, Andre, Nadia, Tachelle (preceded her death), LaMar Jr. (Little Ant), Wanice Edwards, Aniyah, LoVel Harrison (Little Dep – preceded her death); sister, Jaimette Wilson; brother, James (Tony) Burgess, II; her niece, Jovette Nelson; 16 great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives, friends, and coworkers.
