Journey of Life

Rhonda Lynette Tillery was born April 14, 1961, in Baltimore, Maryland. She was the only child of Bravett B. Lynch and Ida L. Chisolm.

She attended public schools in Baltimore City. She graduated from Northwestern High School where she excelled in academics as well as track and field and gymnastics. Rhonda was also awarded the NAACP Afo-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO) medal for her theatrical talents.

Rhonda graduated from Howard University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. While attending Howard she pledged Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. After graduating she wed her former husband Ryan Tillery at Union Memorial United Methodist Church. Shortly after she was married Rhonda relocated with her husband to Mannheim, Germany where she started her professional career and family.

Rhonda spent several years living and working overseas. Rhonda retired in 2022 after 33 years of working in the childcare field for the Department of Defense. She held various positions such as Child Development Center Director and Training and Curriculum Specialist. She left an indelible mark on the lives of young children.

The love of her life were her two children Rianne L. Tillery (Kendre) and Ryan L. Tillery (Kobe).

Rhonda enjoyed the performing arts, traveling, and spending time with her children.

In passing, Rhonda has left a void in our family that only God can heal. She loved God. She loved her family. She loved her friends. She will be forever remembered and missed by her children (Kendre and Kobe), her aunt (Sonia Lynch) and a host of family and friends.
