William “Tutty” Lawrence Dickerson, Sr. was called to his Heavenly Home on September 1, 2022 at the age of 86. Born October 30, 1935, in Pittsylvania County, Virginia he was the son of the late Ocie Pete Dickerson and Sarah Jane Carter Dickerson. He was also proceeded in death by his brothers Odell Dickerson, Sr. and Troy Anderson Dickerson and his son Dale Callands.
In addition to his loving wife, Cookie and his son, William Jr. (Movita), he leaves to treasure his memory his son Harold “Buck” Vernon Miller; granddaughters, Alexis Dickerson McLeod (Eamon) and Derwrey Clemons, Alicia Miller, Takiyah Miller, Dion Bell; great grandsons, Marshall William and Ryker Lawrence McLeod and great granddaughter Miyoni Clemons; three sisters, Florine Callands, Sharon Gilbert (Goldsboro), and Deloris Dickerson (Herbert); three sisters-in-law, Shirley Henderson(Joe), Maebell Dickerson and Molly Gould. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.
